"We would do well to slow down a little, focus on the significant, lift up our eyes and truly see the things that matter most.
Strength comes not from frantic activity, but from being settled on a firm foundation of truth and light.
It comes from paying attention to the divine things that matter most." Elder Uchtdorf

Yurt Adventures

A couple of weeks ago, I went on an overnight yurt trip for PCS. It was the first time I have left Gideon overnight and it was hard for both of us. But, I love the yurt trips and I missed them terribly last year, so I couldn't resist the chance to go again. Last year was the first time since 2002 that I hadn't gone. Levi has always wanted to see it, and the weather and snow were perfect for a day trip up there. Usually we cross-country ski into the yurt pulling sleds. This year we took snow shoes, but we didn't even need those because the snow was so packed (but only if you stay on the trail, otherwise you sink up to your hips!)... so, the weekend after I went with work, we went as a family. Gideon did so well in the backpack and LOVED playing in the "no" (snow). We didn't stay overnight (but hope to do so in the future... so, if any of you are interested, let us know!). We posted about a million pictures of our little trip, so enjoy! We certainly did.
